Transparency ATC's
These are some of the new, Beautiful transparencies from Prickley Pear! The girls are adorable. This technique is so simple. Run the ATC sized transparency thru a Zyron. On the sticky side, I used shimmer chalk with little pom poms. When all areas were covered with chalk, I used Scrapbook adhesive spray to attach it to a piece of black cardstock. The results are stunning! It's worth a try!

Beach Beauties Magnet Set

The photo doesn't do these gals justice. Using the back side of flattened bottle caps, I added tiny beads to the outside ring. Next I used a 1 inch circle punch on my collage sheets from Altered Pages. I glued the beauties in the center, added a rhinestone flower or gem and covered with a thin coating of Diamond Glaze. After all was dry, I glued a circle magnet on the back.

Think Monday Think ATC: Foil

This weeks theme for TMTA was a great technique using clear acetate and tin foil! I used alcohol inks on the acetate, flipped it over and stamped with Staz On. Next I tore a page from an old book and put a partial strip on the alcohol inked side. ( I just used a glue stick) Lastly, I crumpled a piece of tin foil and glued my acetate stamped piece to it. The results are quite fun. For a video and instructions on this technique, go to tmta.wordpress.com . The video in not in English but easy to follow. There are also written directions in English.

Iris folding has never been easier with these great stamps from Stamp N Plus Scrap N. Owner LuAnn Hale has made some fabulous new designs including beautiful dresses, scrapbook frames and holidays. The stamp has all the lines and details of where to fold. I have never done iris folding before and am having a great time with this stamp line.

Crayon Tulips

Using my craft iron, (I covered it in tinfoil) I melted crayons onto cardstock. The end of a crayon was put directly onto the iron. (No shavings). The I swirled some areas of crayon around but not enough to muddy the colors. Next I stamped my tulips and cut them out. I used 3D foam tape to layer them onto the stamped ATC.

Artist ATC- I tried something new!

I got these great big brads from Red Lead Paper Works a while back. The idea they shared was to scratch up the brad and add a picture for a vintage look. Isn't he cute? The stamp is also from Red Lead. The flowers were done with a technique I read about in the latest Somerset Studio. Stamp flowers in black or dark brown. Lightly Rub Distress Ink (Vintage photo) over the flower and then color with chalks. The look is very fun and the distress ink helps hold the chalk onto the paper.
